The institution of the "Exhaust Control Card" (E.C.C.) was established as a measure to address environmental pollution and is implemented by introducing a special exhaust gas control for all categories of vehicles at regular intervals.

All vehicles are required to be equipped with E.C.C. (Exhaust Control Card) 1 YEAR from the first day of their release and to renew it EVERY ONE (1) YEAR for Passengers and Trucks up to 3.5 tons and every SIX (6) MONTHS for taxis and trucks over 3.5 tons.

According to the new legislation from 1/1/2011 for the vehicles that pass MOT from 1/1/2011 the TECHNICAL INSPECTION REPORT has a KEK position with a validity equal to that of the card (1 year or 6 months). After the period of 1 year or 6 months the vehicle is obliged to be supplied with E.C.C.
