Air conditioners have a direct effect on our health in various ways, so we must be very careful when using it.

• IT IS PROHIBITED smoking inside the car and especially when the air conditioner is on, because the atmosphere in the cabin becomes suffocating as the smoke has no escape outlet. So it enters the air conditioning system and then the bad smell of the cigarette spreads throughout the cabin.
  We never direct the flow of cold air over us, thus avoiding the risk of cooling. To make the air conditioner more direct, we adjust it to air recycling. However, we must periodically adjust it to the outside air inlet to allow fresh oxygen to enter the cabin.
• If we have left our vehicle in the sun for a long time, under no circumstances should we turn on the air conditioner as soon as we enter. It will be good to open all the windows so that the warm air inside the cabin leaves and after a while to turn on the air conditioner. We can protect our car by installing sunscreen on the windows, especially on the front windshield to prevent the dashboard and steering wheel from burning.
• Ideally we should regulate the temperature to normal values and not to the lowest scale, so that there is not much difference in the outdoor and indoor temperature and to avoid heat shock. Especially in vehicles with electric air conditioning we have to set it at 22 ° C to 24 ° C.

Proper maintenance of air conditioner

• Maintenance and service should be performed at regular intervals by specialized engineers. Once a year or according to the manufacturer's instructions, the air conditioner should be cleaned and the cabin filter changed.
• If you notice a reduction in air conditioning efficiency, you may need to refill with freon. It is advisable to check for possible leaks from the refrigerator or the pipes.
• For the best maintenance it is good to turn on the air conditioner at regular intervals even in winter, so that the parts of the system are lubricated and their life is extended.
• Finally, before reaching your final destination, switch off the air conditioner so that the moisture that collects in the carburetor evaporates.
